Keeping both the connector and your Power BI apps up to date ensures optimal performance, compatibility, and access to the latest features. To avoid issues during upgrades, please follow the steps below in the correct order.
Step 1: Upgrade the Power BI Insights Connector (recommended first)
The connector controls how data is extracted from Business Central into Power BI.
If the connector is not on the latest version, Power BI apps may fail to update or behave unexpectedly.
Most upgrade related issues are caused by an outdated connector.

Once the connector is up to date, you can upgrade your installed Power BI apps.
